According to Western measurements Russian market of pos equipment is too young at the very moment.
If we compare it with USA or France markets for instance, we will see that the difference
approaches 100 year period but still there are unbiassed reasons. At present time economic laws
dictate the development of this sector and it is achieving a good place quite rapidly now. Russia
has a powerful industrial and engineering design school. Our designers are good professionals who
know thoroughly the technology process. Almost every part has its professional contests. There are
packaging, label, polygraphic design and outdoor advertising contests. In 2002 pos (or pop in US
classification) manufacturers were given their own contest which is "Display of the Year". Not only
producers compete with each other, but also brands and companies which ordered this or that display.
The success or failure of the advertising campaign depends on how the display is projected or
produced.
